The decor was excellent, we really liked the "old world charm ",plus the modern tech. touch (dvd, bluray player and internet access) combined with the friendly, professional staff, the rural appeal, very nice meals and very comfortable room.
Very friendly lady who was the hostess for breakfast.A Rare thing these days but her blood is worth bottling! Everything was very clean and we had a lovely buffet breakfast which wa sincluded in tariff. Would stay here gaain rather than more expensive cottages etc. All staff we met were friendly and helpful. Location of hotel is wellpositioned for glof course and for touring the beautiful highlands areas.
The room was good value for money, the breakfast very good and the hotel itself very attractive looking.
Nothing serious, only annoyance was noise. Firstly because nearly everything in the room seemed to creak, the floor, the bed, the cupboard doors... Secondly because the walls were quite thin, at one stage I could hear someone snoring in the next room. In fairness, this is offset in part by the hotel being well away from traffic, so there is relatively little traffic noise etc.
Excellent staff Excellent food Bathroom needs update Nice venue for getaway moreso than business that took me there
We did not have time to experience the full range of services/facilities that Berida offered, however the rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff all helpful and pleasant.
It's old. It's funky. It needs a major overhaul. The interior is a scream. The wallpaper is hideous. However, the bed was okay, I could open a window and the food wasn't bad.
After travelling around for two weeks our stay here for just one night was far too short. If only we had known how much we would enjoy the old world charm of this hotel. Our room was spacious and cosy, the queen size bed very comfy. The evening we arrived we ate a wonderful meal in the restaurant, my husbands dietary request was catered for with ease, and he ended up with the lightest gnocchi ever. Thank you chef and management. Our waitress was charming, and the open fire in bar was just right for a chilly night. Ideally located for the lovely town of Bowral .Spend more than one night is my advise. The manger was very friendly and helpful.
The only thing I would change is the addition of an espresso or coffee machine in the bar/restaurant. I did miss this after the meal and at breakfast, but am just being picky now.
We enjoyed the stay and staff were very friendly. However, we think a bit overpriced for the room. Very run down bathroom. Everything in bathroom looked like it needed replacing. Prefer to not have breakfast and pay $185. Would recommend but advise expensive for what the place is.
Didnt know how to turn heater down
The beuatiful decor was stylish to the age of the building. Teh indoor heated pool and spa were a treat. The buffet breakfast was excellent but only went till 9am :-)
The man on the fornt desk was so inhospitable it wasn't funny and it had not improved by morning. It is only because of him we will try another location to stay at when we atre in Bowral next. The restaurant had a lovely menu but the prices were very high for Bowral so we ate elsewhere.
Only stayed one night anddid not usefacilities
Air conditioning too hot and bed also appeared to have a electric blanket as it was overly warm all night.
the peace and quiet. the old world charm. the garden. the indoor heated pool.
I felt the rooms were too warm but I confess I did not speak up when we were very hot in the night.
Collectively, there was an "older era" atmosphere about the building which was pleasing, but in looking at "details" there was some lack of general maintenance upkeep with regard to window cleaning, cobwebs and paint deterioration which was not unacceptable considering the age of the building, but noticeable.
We are a mature age couple who regularly travel and stay at hotels/motels. We usually check the internet for suitable accommodation and book through agents. We tend to accept what is presented on arrival, and certainly do not have a habit of making complaints. On this visit to Berida mcr, we had to speak to management on the quality and cooked standard of the Snapper fish presented for dinner. My wife could not eat her serve, and I picked around the sides of my serve. We know "snapper" very well as one of our favorite meals. The size of the serve was good. At first I considered that it had been grossly overcooked, but later felt that the fish had been previously cooked and then reheated. Management was polite but said that their Chef said that the fish was acceptable. We were offered free deserts!!! How could a serve of fresh fillet of Snapper be so "stuffed-up" by a qualified Chef who obviously took the denial option?
Rooms need to be updated with air conditioning.
Staying at Berida Manor was good value for money! The place itself looks luxurious and I loved the fact that even if it was built in the 1920's, the place looked well maintained plus loved the indoor pool and spa! My husband and I also enjoyed the breakfast buffet which was included in what we've paid! I would recommend staying at Berida Manor!
